Cineplay: Lost and Found Screening + Miniature Boat Making

Join us for a relaxed screening of a truly magical tale of loneliness and friendship, Lost and Found. Based on the award-winning book by Oliver Jeffers, this beautifully animated short film, narrated with the dulcet tones of Jim Broadbent, will delight both adults and little ones alike. 

One day, a boy finds a penguin on his doorstep and decides to take it home...even if that means rowing all the way to the South Pole! 

The screening will be preceded by crafting miniature boats, playing in our sea scape, drawing on our giant drawing floor and frolicking in the snow.

Join us for the Housewarming Rave of the year, as we unveil NowHaus; a house designed and built by pupils from St Joseph's RCVA Primary School, inspired by the Shipley Art Gallery's collections. 

Play in the house, explore the different rooms and delve hands on into this immersive exhibition. No Housewarming Rave is complete without a live DJ, projections and of course, dancing (so get those shapes ready). Sketch your own NowHaus on the gigantic drawing wall, and explore the Chalk Scrapyard where you can make your own architecturally inspired creations to take home.

We'll be talking and thinking all about bugs using a Rasberry Pi before embarking on action packed journey down memory lane as we screen Honey I Shrunk The Kids.

Join us for a morning of all things coding! Presented in partnership with Tech For Life at Campus North, this workshop is designed with little ones (and big ones!) in mind. We'll be delving into squishy circuits using conductive and resistant play-doh to build electronic sculptures that light up, move, and make sounds. We’ll be bringing along our favourite bricks for a lesson in Scratch Lego and having a try at playing a banana piano (yes, you heard us right) with Makey Makey.

The workshops are aimed at ages 3+.
