Thanks to warm digits for an incredible gig! Look out for more gig announcements coming soon. If you missed out, have a gander at our gallery to see what it was all about.

In the first of Chalk's series of live music events for the whole family, we are proud to present Warm Digits, the kaleidoscopic power duo. Set to be a sensory explosion for the eyes, ears and mind this very special dynamite daytime gig will have you and your little ones spinning with delight. The event will have more sensory stimulation than you can throw a stick at, think bubbles, lights and ear bending music. Plus never-seen-before visual projections made by your children before the gig, with the help of Newcastle's very brilliant film collective, FilmBee.

Warm Digits are a duo from Manchester and Newcastle, making instrumental electronic music with live drums and guitars. Their acclaimed multi sensory live shows and two albums have made them one of the Newcastle's top underground bands, and won celebrity endorsements from the likes of Andrew Weatherall and Bernard Butler, as well as BBC 6music. About the Chalk gig, they say:

"We hope our music makes you want to jump up and down, and makes your eyes and ears feel fizzy. At our gigs, Steve likes making lots of noise with his guitar and Andrew plays the drums as if he's got six arms. We are very excited about playing in front of some small people for the first time."

This mega gig is part of Warm Digits Spring Tour, for details of additional tour dates, please see links below.

The gig will be proceeded by a filmmaking workshop facilitated by Newcastle's FilmBee Collective (workshop included in the price).

Join us for a unique, messy and immersive filmmaking experience with Newcastle Film Collective FilmBee. Mat Fleming will be holding a filmmaking drop-in workshop with assistance of the Chalk team. The workshops are aimed at children 3 years + and their grown-ups to come and get reel-y creative. We will be scratching, staining and painting 16mm film to create some magical, mind blowing, abstract visuals that will be projected live at the Warm Digits gig.
