MAPS Festival, a new Arts Council funded festival for families focusing on music art and play. The festival is produced by Chalk, producers of cultural events for children and families across Newcastle upon Tyne.
The inaugural MAPS Festival took place from Friday 15th - Sunday 17th February 2019 across venues in Newcastle and Gateshead and was a creative and immersive weekend of art, music and play aimed at children under 8 and their grown ups.
The 2019 MAPS Festival was packed to the brim with unique immersive art experiences, gigs and workshops. The programme featured cosmic space raves, Viz For Kids, a live podcast recording, family friendly gigs, a playscape, a cat clay social featuring cat DJs and much more.
